In Home Housekeeper or CaregiverAt Sentinel Homecare, our caregivers are our front line and most common representative. As an In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and most often those that cannot care for themselves. You are required to keep the client's needs above all else and perform the following duties with the utmost care. Our office in Johnson City provides caregivers for the Northeast Tennessee area including Morristown, Rogersville, Dandridge, Rutledge, Greeneville, and many others.The Sentinel WaySentinel Homecare is a leading non-medical homecare company serving citizens in Northeast Tennessee. We offer a new approach to care by focusing on quality, reliability and trust.Whether it is small day-to-day tasks or important, life-changing events, we are here to provide exceptional care all along the way.In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver Primary Responsibilities:Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client's plan of care created during in-take. Those activities may include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating and continence care.Assist with medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments and companionship.Other household tasks as specified in the client's plan of careTo report daily activity to your supervisor through the agency management system and daily activity logs. Other communication avenues when available and as needed, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, agency app, face to face, etc.Shifts OfferedFull TimePart Time8 Hour Shifts10 Hour Shifts12 Hour ShiftsPRNShort ShiftBenefits OfferedPay Rate: $13.00-$14.00/hourPaid Time OffHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePPE ProvidedHoliday PayReferral BonusesDaily PayAs a Sentinel Homecare In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver, you will also:Practice safety in all activities concerning SHC clientsBe required to lift or push up to 50 poundsDemonstrate honesty, accountability and integrityProvide superior care to SHC clientsRemain vigilant of any potential care concerns or change in conditionKeep your personal appearance in compliance with SHC Policies, including abiding by company dress codeBe timely in reporting for shifts or making scheduling changesReport any suspected abuse or neglect immediately up the proper chain of command, as required by lawDocument any behavior, events, conditions or people that are out of the ordinaryMaintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, etc.Attend meetings and in-services as requested.Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the Company.Ensure protection of confidential information that is stored, handled, or maintained by following Company policies and procedures related to confidentiality and/or HIPAA regulations.Other duties as assigned.In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver Required Knowledge:Work requires good communication skills.Ability to follow verbal and written assignments.Demonstrate proficiency with Homecare Company Management SystemClearCareIn Home Housekeeper or Caregiver Required Skills:Must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Caregivers are required to:Maintain an established work schedule.Effective interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.Effective organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through.Establish and maintain effective working relationships.Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.Maintain "Fit for Duty" physical condition, a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and will possess the following minimum requirements:18 Years of Age or OlderCNA License or alternate experience as a caregiver, preferredCPR & First Aid Certifications, preferredReliable TransportationPreferred Work Experience:Prior experience assisting with ADLs or caring for elderly, disabled and other vulnerable clientsEquipment Used:Telephone and/or Smartphone or TabletPersonal Protective EquipmentRequired Safety Expectations:Work safely and follow safety rulesReport unsafe working conditions and behavior
