OverviewAssistant Director, Principal Gift Projects & Analytics - 119132Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) supports Johns Hopkins' focus on research, teaching, and patient care, and its role as a national and global leader in higher education. We create and foster enduring relationships that result in advocacy and philanthropic support for Johns Hopkins University & Medicine—strengthening the institution through partnerships with donors, alumni, volunteer leaders, faculty, students, staff, and patients.Johns Hopkins University supports a flexible work model with a hybrid arrangement. The manager will confirm core onsite days. Travel on university business can count toward onsite days.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of materials for principal level proposals, leadership briefings, donor correspondence, gift agreements, and MOUs in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations and internal institutional partners.In partnership with the Office of Stewardship and Donor Engagement, support ongoing, personalized stewardship of principal gift relationships, including drafting and editing stewardship materials related to the impact of philanthropic support.Identify data resources needed to create reporting and tracking tools for principal gifts, to understand history, current state, and forecast for the program.Collaborate with the Development Strategy Manager to refine and implement a regular system of reporting and tracking for the Office of Development Strategy.Lead project management for principal gift donor recognition programs (including naming opportunities) and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely recognition of donor contributions in JHU&M facilities.Support the formatting of proposal and stewardship collateral for principal-level donors and prospects, including bespoke layouts or coordination with graphic design resources.Monitor and analyze donor engagement and philanthropic potential across the donor lifecycle to prioritize the right donors and prospects.Identify and support qualification of new prospective principal gift donors within Johns Hopkins Medicine.Create donor-ready impact visualizations showing outcomes from principal-level philanthropy and customize impact reporting frameworks for multi-year stewardship plans and targeted reporting.Provide other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree.Two years of related experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in project management, advancement services, analytics, or related area—preferably data within medical or academic philanthropy.Experience with data visualization/analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Salesforce CRM report building, and advanced Microsoft 365 skills.Strong organizational, analytical, data visualization, and communication skills.High degree of professionalism, discretion, and a relationship-driven, service mindset.DetailsClassified Title: Development Strategy AssociateJob Posting Title (Working Title): Assistant Director, Principal Gift Projects & AnalyticsRole/Level/Range: ATP/03/PBStarting Salary Range: Minimum: $46,200 – Maximum: $80,799 (targeted salary: $68,000; commensurate with experience)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pmFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: School of Medicine - East Baltimore CampusDepartment name: 10003238-SOM Admin FJHM StewardshipPersonnel area: School of MedicineAdditional information The Johns Hopkins University offers a total rewards package that supports health, life, career, and retirement.
