Job Overview Consistent with the University’s Academic Resource Center and Department of Athletics missions, the Coordinator for Student‑Athlete Services strengthens the University’s academic support network by providing academic coaching to empower student‑athletes to become student‑centered learners and to enhance their academic performance. The Coordinator serves as the campus‑wide liaison to establish goals, develop policy and participate in institutional planning surrounding student‑athlete education and welfare. The Coordinator works with senior administrators, directors of programs, and departments that provide direct student services, and interprets university policies for undergraduate students, faculty, and parents. The Coordinator is accountable for advising 700 Division I student‑athletes and must balance academic and athletic achievement in a highly competitive environment. Work Interactions The Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of the Academic Resource Center and is a member of a professional staff of nine. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating academic programs for 27 athletic teams. The Coordinator routinely interacts with senior administrators in the Athletic Department, across different schools, the President’s and Provost’s Office, and programs regarding student‑athlete welfare. The Coordinator also represents the university to students, parents, alumni, and other constituencies. Requirements And Qualifications Master’s degree required. Minimum three years of professional experience in teaching, academic advising, counseling, or career development in a higher education setting. Experience with culturally and academically diverse student populations. Comprehensive knowledge of University academic rules and regulations and NCAA Compliance Rules. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and solve problems. Prescribes and practices ethical behavior. Computer knowledge required. Appreciation of Jesuit culture and values. Work Mode Designation On‑Campus. The position may require work outside normal business hours and some travel. Pay Range $47,586.00 – $87,558.13.
