Electrical/ Instrument Controls Designer

Work for a manufacturer in Middlesex County as an Electrical Controls Designer:

Primary Responsibilities:

- Development of instrument control panel layouts, wiring drawings and component selection for control and power.
- Creating a bill of material and instrument list based on P&ID"s.
- Assist in the design of PLC systems and parts selection.
- Development of I/O lists.
- Design junction box layout and wiring schemes.
- Create instrument loop wiring diagrams per ISA.
- Cable Schedules, Instrument Installation Details, and Instrument Location drawings.
- Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other engineering disciplines.
- Reviews I&C drawings for compliance with department, project and customer requirements.
- Coordinate panel assemblers with control panel assembly.
- Able to specify and select instruments based on customer requirements
- Produce interlock logic diagrams per engineering guidance.
- Producing cause and effect charts per engineering guidance.
- Producing control and logic diagrams per engineering guidance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Field Service experience a plus
- Excellent communication, English
- Excellent report writing
- Organized
- Able to work well with other co-workers and customers
- Experience with and open to travel (5%) for plant commissioning
-Familiar with troubleshooting procedure AC circuits up to 600v using multimeter, megger, etc.
- Familiar with troubleshooting DC circuits using multimeter, signal generators, etc.
- Producing control and logic diagrams per engineering direction

Valid US driver"s license
- US citizen
- Valid passport
