At the San Francisco 49ers, our mission is simple but powerful: to create meaningful moments that inspire and connect. Whether it’s on the field, in the community, or behind the scenes, we’re united by the belief that the work we do has the power to bring people together and leave a lasting impact. Success here takes more than passion; it’s about bringing your best to every challenge. We thrive by balancing priorities with precision, making thoughtful decisions in fast-paced environments, and always looking ahead to what’s next. Our team is built on core competencies that shape how we work: adaptability, integrity, collaboration, strong communication, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. Together, these qualities fuel our ability to deliver world-class experiences for our fans, partners, and community. If you’re excited about being part of a supportive team where you can develop your skills, share your ideas, and help make a difference, we’d love to have you join us. The Digital Editor serves as a key content gatekeeper and contributor across 49ers.com, LevisStadium.com, YouTube, and team podcasts. In addition to publishing and packaging written, photo, video, and podcast content, the Digital Editor will appear on-camera for select video segments and serve as a regular host or guest on official 49ers podcasts. This position also helps drive market-specific strategies, particularly for the UK and MX, while contributing to branded content and long‑form features. Craft compelling headlines, sub‑headlines, and metadata using SEO best practices to drive traffic and engagement. Maintain the editorial calendar, coordinating content timing with internal departments, partners, and fan engagement strategies. Collaborate with the social and international teams to develop UK‑ and MX‑targeted digital content, including lifestyle features and localized storytelling. Post and optimize video content on the 49ers official YouTube channel; manage live stream titles and uploads of press conferences and other branded content. Research and write lifestyle‑driven features (fashion, music, social, etc.) for web and YouTube audiences. Serve as an on‑camera guest as needed across team channels and appear as a regular guest or host on 49ers podcasts, fan features, and digital video segments. Host and support the production of team podcasts and occasional live digital content. Report on weekly content performance; support monthly content reporting and data‑driven recommendations. Support complex page builds for initiatives like Foundation campaigns, community events, and digital contests. Other duties as assigned. Required Abilities and Skills Excellent editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to write and edit quickly and cleanly. Strong understanding of digital publishing workflows, SEO, and content optimization best practices. On‑camera and/or hosting experience preferred but not required.
