Overview We are seeking a Full Time Podiatrist for our Islip, NY location with base pay range of $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on skills and experience. This role is with an affiliate of Curalta Foot + Ankle, focused on delivering high-quality, complete foot and ankle care. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat conditions relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles. Consult with patients, practice evidence-based medicine with best practices, and prescribe medications and devices as indicated. Perform procedures and surgeries as needed to remedy patients’ conditions. Engage in continued education on medical advancements and treatments. Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Knowledge – Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions; uses critical thinking to synthesize and analyze data; develops, implements, and alters care plans as indicated; proficiency in procedural skills relevant to practice area. Patient Care – Provides compassionate care, includes patient and family in planning and treatment; acts as advocate in navigating the health care system; clinically documents with appropriate coding and billing; utilizes EHR effectively for timely documentation. Practice Based Learning and Clinical Improvement – Identifies strengths and gaps, seeks opportunities for clinical advancement; participates in self-evaluation with guidance and feedback. Communication and Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Works effectively with multidisciplinary teams, health professionals, patients, and families; promotes mutual respect within a team model. Professionalism – Adheres to ethics, patient confidentiality, informed consent, and accountability; remains flexible and open to change to advance the organization’s mission.
