Our Global Legal Team is a key enabler of our firm's success, helping to drive impact and progress across a number of important dimensions.As a Legal team member, you will work across BCG teams and functions to support our business growth strategy, provide counsel and expertise, drive legal innovation, and leverage the power of new ways of working.Among Other Things, You WillServe as champion of BCG public sector contracting and risk management standards while developing such expertise in various jurisdictions around the worldDraft, review and negotiate a wide array of agreements with North America commercial and government clients, including RFP terms and conditions, master services agreements, other client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, teaming agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements, and nondisclosure agreementsBe experienced in quickly and independently redlining and custom-drafting legal documentsImplement and help to develop and champion BCG contracting and other policies and processes and provide assistance to seek approvals on deviations of contract or other policiesProvide general counseling and management of a full spectrum of business and legal issues, including licensing and intellectual property topics, data protection, export, conflicts of interests, and other legal mattersIdentify risks and issues, and suggest alternative solutionsCoordinate with teams to resolve or support resolution of complex legal issues within BCG's Global Legal TeamPartner closely with the business and BCG Business Services Team to manage risk and resolve legal issuesContribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team know-how, templates, technology solutions, and other key enablersManage and direct consulting teams to ensure compliance with export and data protection laws and regulations. Conduct investigations in the event of data breaches and report findings and recommendations for improvementsPerforming other duties as assigned or requiredYOU'RE GOOD ATIn all cases, BCG's Senior Legal Counsel will be an exceptional lawyer, able to efficiently deliver high quality work. A Senior Legal Counsel has the following skillsSuperior analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability, with an appreciation for balancing business and legal objectivesAbility to absorb new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably with a diverse international set of clients and advisorsAbility to quickly comprehend complex sets of international laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of BCG's global policiesPositive, dynamic, client-focused approach to legal practiceAbility to perform in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environmentPragmatic, high-energy professional with self-confidenceWhat You'll BringGraduate degree (J.D.) in Law from an accredited law school and admitted to practiceAt least 7+ years of contracting experience with commercial and government entities and international exposure2+ years with a reputable law firm preferred; prior relevant in-house experience preferredUS Federal security clearance preferred (current or eligible)Excellent written and oral communication skillsEnglish fluencyWho You'll Work WithBCG's legal group manages a full spectrum of legal issues, including contracts, intellectual property, regulatory matters, corporate compliance, and corporate governance. The firm's legal team serves as both a trusted advisor to the business and an activist agent of change.Additional infoFor US locations onlyIn the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.The base salary range for this role begins at $168,000.00 in our lowest cost US region and goes up to $219,333.33 in our highest cost US region. Your recruiting contact can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.This is an estimated range; specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range.
