Think, try,and thrive with us in collaborative work environments that spark game-changingconcepts Responsibilities:Assemblers at Mercedes-Benz Vans work within ateam in an assembly-line environment building state-of-the-art vans for theAmerican automotive marketPrepare the assembly Check production documents for completenessInspect incoming parts for completeness and qualityProvide feedback on missing/incomplete documents or partsAssemble components and/orassemblies According to the appropriate work instructions, mount variousassemblies and components on numerous or different stations within an allottedtimeframeReport self-discovered defects/errorsEnsure the assembly meets high quality standardsPerform maintenance workaccording to specifications (tool maintenance, housekeeping, Total ProductionMaintenance) within individual workstation and on station toolsParticipate in ContinuousImprovement Process Qualifikationen Qualifications:Educationand ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED strongly preferred1+ years relevant manufacturing experience orLean Manufacturing certificate preferredAbility to perform the essential functions of thejobKnowledge and SkillsBasichand/power tool familiarityPreferred experience in automotive productionWe are all in for change. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled atthis location. Mercedes-BenzVans, LLC invested 500 million U.S. dollars in the construction of a newSprinter production plant in addition to an expansion of the previous assemblyoperations. In September 2018, MBV officially opened its new plant, locatednext to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility willprovide up to 1,300 jobs by the end of the decade and is expected to create atleast 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers Morethan 130,000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered todestinations in the U.S. since 2006.
