Job Description Salary Range: $46,520 - $74,898 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Essential Functions Observes and performs the work of various positions to gain experience and learn about operations. Duties include administrative, clerical, and customer service tasks. Conducts operational research, productivity analyses, and management studies to learn about departmental operations, programs, and services; compiles and monitors data; researches, analyzes, and reports findings; recommends policy and procedure changes to improve operations. Performs tasks involved in coordination or implementation of special projects, including special events, new programs, and professional services; participates in planning, design, evaluation, scope definition, resource allocation, and provides administrative support. Provides research and analytical assistance to managers for strategic and long‑range planning; participates in local and regional planning and investigates pending legislation that may impact the department. Performs financial reviews and analyses; compiles operational data and cost histories; monitors billing activities, expenditures, and reports; conducts cost analysis; recommends improvements; participates in budget development. Responds to complaints and questions regarding County or department operations, provides information, researches problems, and initiates resolution. Participates in meetings, functions, and events to receive information about departmental operations; contributes to discussions and decisions. Keeps the director or supervising officer apprised of all activities and may submit periodic reports on activities and observations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration or related field required. Entry‑level professional position; prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
