Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center environment, managing complex and emergent cases with confidence and precision. Collaborative Mindset: Skilled at working closely with neurosurgeons, residents, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care across the continuum. Critical Thinking: Excellent judgment and decision-making skills for high-acuity patients, including rapid assessment and intervention in urgent situations. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team, especially in high-stress or time-sensitive scenarios. Requirements: Education: Master’s degree or equivalent as a Physician Assistant (required as of January 1, 2018) Experience: At least 1 year of Physician Assistant experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Certifications & Licensure Current NCCPA Certification Active Illinois Physician Assistant License Illinois Controlled Substance License (within 6 months of hire) Eligible for DEA registration; DEA registration required within 6 months of hire (may vary by practice site) Current BLS Certification PALS/ACLS Certification as required by practice site #J-18808-Ljbffr
