Senior Director Clinical Enterprise Join to apply for the Senior Director Clinical Enterprise role at OhioHealth Job Description Summary The Senior Director of Operations for the Clinical Enterprise will provide system-wide direction for specified physician practice operations across OhioHealth. The role encompasses operational and strategic responsibilities, coordinating with multiple business units and leaders throughout the enterprise. The Senior Director will lead teams overseeing Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and their support staff across multiple locations, developing and executing clinical services and programs, managing financial performance, driving growth, recruiting talent, improving processes, and ensuring ongoing talent management. Overseeing revenue management, operating expense management, capital planning, staffing, performance reporting, supply chain, and support systems, the Senior Director reports to the Service Line Vice President and works closely with the President of OPG on operational excellence and oversight. Responsibilities and Duties Daily Operations – Strategically prioritize and delegate tasks to Clinical Enterprise directors to achieve goals in ambulatory growth and access, efficient operations, patient engagement and satisfaction, quality, physician and associate culture, and annual operating budget. Growth – Provide strategic and operational direction for new sites of care, coordinate physician acquisition and recruitment to support OhioHealth Central Ohio and Regional growth strategies. Physician Compensation – Develop, oversee, and manage physician compensation plans; align and execute compensation strategies with regional, operational, and growth objectives. Physician and Partner Contracting – Prepare business cases and negotiate contract amendments in partnership with the Service Line Vice President, obtaining final approval from President OPG. Business Plans and Development – Provide business plan consultation, development, support, and execution to achieve growth and efficient practice operations. Communication and Representation – Foster bi-directional information channels between physician, APP, and operational leadership; translate the Strategic Vision of the Service Line Vice President into strategic planning for the larger team; represent the service line in system meetings (e.g., CE Gemba, Goal Deployment). Physician Relations – Support relationships between employed physicians and hospital leadership across OhioHealth and non‑OhioHealth hospitals; oversee practice directors and other management. Leadership Development – Foster growth and development, demonstrating People Development and Culture Builder competencies; support elevation of the Service Line’s director team and build future talent. Consultation and Leadership – Provide physician practice consultation and operational leadership to establish effective relationships with physicians and associates. Operational Integration – Partner with Clinical Enterprise and Care Site Leaders to standardize practice operations with Clinical Enterprise SOPs, processes, and policies; collaborate with system stakeholders (Business Development, Strategy, Finance, Human Resources) to review business decisions and strategic initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree (Required) Minimum of 7 years executive experience working with physicians and other health care providers in a large, integrated healthcare delivery system (IDS) that includes aligned/affiliated medical groups, IPAs, and independent physicians. Broad knowledge of physician practice models. Minimum of 5 years of group practice management experience or equivalent. Experience in physician compensation plan development, implementation, and management in an integrated healthcare delivery system environment. Demonstrated physician practice consultative skills. Experience with physician measurement systems in the areas of access, operational effectiveness, patient satisfaction, and financial metrics. Experience working with an electronic medical record system and other information technology and systems that support clinical integration across physician practices. Experience working in a highly matrixed, multi‑hospital system or organization.
