Blending Technician

Pay:- $17.00 per hour
Schedule:- Monday - Friday- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or until 4:20 PM- Once production picks up, hours may extend to 6:00 PM
Position Overview:- Assist the Blending Operator I- Gain entry-level knowledge of equipment and processes- Learn basic setup, adjustments, mixing, and breakdown on a specific machine
Position Description:- Shadow and learn to operate a specific machine- Acquire basic knowledge of other machines and equipment- Supervised by a Blending Operator II or higher- Assemble and disassemble the specific machine- Formulate raw materials into finished bulk following Batch Manufacturing Procedures (BMPs)- Ensure bulk product meets quality specifications and production schedule- Monitor blending equipment according to component specifications and blend amounts- Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures to industry standards- Adhere to testing procedures and provide required samples- Execute minor adjustments and troubleshooting as needed- Use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for clear, legible, and accurate paperwork- Follow all Company Policies, SOPs, and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)- Adhere to work safety practices including PPE, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment- Perform other assigned duties
Position Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent required- Ability to lift 50 lbs- Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred- Aptitude for working on mechanical equipment- Ability to accept direction and supervision, with quick learning skills- Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills- Effective verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus- Ability to work around sensitive food ingredients and allergens- Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays- Required to pass all pre-employment screenings (drug, background, and criminal checks)
