Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney with deep knowledge of foreclosure processes and lender‑side representation. This individual will be responsible for establishing operational procedures, building a small team, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal foreclosure regulations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on foreclosure experience, business development instincts, and the leadership skills to scale a new department. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the firm’s foreclosure division, including establishing internal processes, case management systems, and compliance frameworks. Represent lenders, servicers, and financial institutions in judicial and non‑judicial foreclosure proceedings. Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, and related legal documents. Manage foreclosure timelines and ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal laws (FDCPA, CFPB, RESPA, etc.). Coordinate with title companies, process servers, and local courts to efficiently move cases through the pipeline. Advise clients on foreclosure strategy, loss mitigation, and recovery options. Handle hearings, mediations, and court appearances as needed. Identify, onboard, and manage support staff and/or associate attorneys as the division grows. Contribute to business development efforts by strengthening relationships with current and prospective lender clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active license in IL required. 5+ years of experience in foreclosure law or real estate litigation, with strong lender‑side experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage a high‑volume caseload with strong attention to deadlines and compliance. Excellent written, oral, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and leadership capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset. Experience in building or scaling a practice area a plus. Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
