Construction Senior Specialist – Project Management Support Join to apply for the Construction Senior Specialist – Project Management Support role at Southern California Edison (SCE). Base pay range: $99,400 – $149,100 per year. As a Construction Senior Specialist – Project Management Support, you will support activities within the Clean Energy space, specifically the Charge Ready Program, for the design, permitting, and execution of work to install Electric Vehicle chargers. This work targets reducing the carbon footprint of vehicles and their associated air quality impacts. You will perform pre‑site selection activities, coordinate with design teams for both SCE and the customer, and support contractors to complete the final installation of EV chargers. Responsibilities Support the pre‑construction and construction planning processes by crafting and supervising action items and leading project team member adherence; serve as a subject‑matter expert for the tool/system of record to maintain data integrity, assist with access and training, and provide other assistance as needed. Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary project teams that often consist of 30 or more members. Assist the project manager with all project‑related support tasks, such as preparing progress reports, tracking project achievements, metrics, schedules, and budgets; provide status to project‑manager leadership and stakeholders; recommend and implement various project‑management methodologies to adapt to changing priorities. Establish, present, and apply project procedures, directives, and bulletins to ensure compliance with SCE’s policies and procedures. Utilize project‑management tools and systems, including Microsoft Project, to maintain sophisticated project schedules. Craft and maintain project documentation, including version control, distribution, document storage and retention in sophisticated document libraries and access control; conduct in‑depth analysis of project data, identify risks/issues, and provide actionable status reports. Develop presentations and other documentation for review by departmental and organizational management and executive committees for approval to proceed through the project gates and stages. Independently manage certain project‑management activities for complex projects with variable interdependencies and tight deadlines; lead change‑management processes including change orders and relevant construction modifications; store and distribute construction drawings, submittals, safety plans and ensure version control; communicate and support site procedures, safety protocols, and construction codes. Ensure protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets; properly access and manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Five or more years of project support experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Ariba for processing and billing orders. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft SharePoint, and WorkIT. Knowledge of SAP, including navigation and transaction codes for project‑related functions. Understanding of the cancellation and close‑out process as it relates to project work orders. Ability to prepare and maintain spreadsheets in Excel for tracking work orders, construction, or tasking. Understanding of systems of record to report or export data to assist project managers and management in tracking. Familiarity with pivot tables for reporting to management on milestones and progress. Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid: the employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California, unless otherwise noted. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
