Principal Applied Scientist, Agentic AI Professional Services Experience As a Principal Applied Scientist on our Agentic AI Professional Services Experience team, you will serve as the foremost technical authority and thought leader in the development and deployment of agentic AI systems. This advanced-level scientific position requires exceptional expertise in deep learning, large language models, and AI agent architectures to help build our industry-leading Agentic AI portfolio (models, systems, and applications). You will be responsible for setting the scientific vision, driving innovation, and representing the company's AI capabilities to senior leadership at customer organizations while ensuring our solutions deliver transformative value across enterprise environments. Our mission is to provide a delightful experience to customers by pushing the envelope in NLP/NLU, AI-assisted code development, reasoning and planning with LLMs, LLM training and fine-tuning, and Applied Machine Learning within professional service contexts. As a principal scientist, you will be the bridge between scientific advancement, business strategy, and customer needs. Key job responsibilities Scientific Leadership Define and drive the scientific vision and roadmap for our Agentic AI professional services portfolio Lead research and development initiatives to advance the state-of-the-art in agent-based AI systems Collaborate with senior scientists across the organization to pioneer novel approaches to agent learning, reasoning, and interaction Publish innovative research at top-tier conferences and influence the broader scientific community Evaluate emerging research and identify opportunities to integrate techniques into our agent architecture Technical Excellence Architect complex multi-agent systems that can effectively understand, reason about, and execute professional services workflows at enterprise scale Lead the design and implementation of sophisticated machine learning models for agent decision-making, planning, and reasoning Drive breakthroughs in areas such as LLM fine-tuning, reinforcement learning from human feedback, and agent alignment Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks and metrics for measuring agent effectiveness, safety, and business impact Set technical standards and guide implementation of best practices across the organization Customer & Business Impact Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions for diverse stakeholders Lead high-visibility technical delivery for strategic customers Analyze complex enterprise problems and design AI agent solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes Basic Qualifications PhD, or Master's degree and 10+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience 8+ years of building models for business application experience Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language Experience in any of the following areas: AI (NLP or multi-modality models), Deep Learning, LLM model training, graph learning, static code analysis, software engineering.
