Noor-Ul-Iman School seeks an Associate Director of Technology who will provide leadership, management, oversight, and vision for educational and organizational technology programs, promoting and implementing solutions that support and improve the school and benefit the school community.This position is a full-time year-round position that reports directly to the Head of School and works closely with other administration and the Business Office.Primary ResponsibilitiesBe a visible and prominent leader who sets a positive tone and leads with integrity and by exampleDevelop and execute a school-wide instructional technology plan, in alignment with the school’s mission and vision.Lead the technology team to ensure excellent delivery of technology solutions and services to the community.Provide guidance to the Leadership team on all aspects of technology in an effort to introduce technology into curriculum across subjectsManage technology acquisitions and develop lifecycles for hardware and softwareProvide timely solutions and provide year-round support and training for the communityConduct needs assessments for new technology and collaborate with vendorsEnsure cybersecurity controls are in place to protect data and systemsProvide leadership, vision, and day-to-day management of the IT department, including data network and backup systems, firewall and security issues, databases, servers, printers, and telephone systemsWork with state agencies for technology funding and vendors for grant opportunitiesCoordinate with leadership to develop and implement a professional development plan for faculty and staff relative to the integration of technology and curriculumFormulate technology departmental policies and procedures; recommend new or revised standards and protocols that are consistent with the school’s missionBe on call for crisis managementBe a hands-on member of the tech teamThe Associate Director of Technology will also work with the members of the IT department to:Support curriculum and ensure all students receive instruction in information literacy, digital citizenship, computer and technology basics, and computer scienceDevelop and implement school-wide technology infrastructure and software strategies, including Facilities and Security systemsDevelop and implement various curriculum-based initiatives to integrate technology into the instructional program.Develop and maintain the school's databases, record keeping and retention policies, in coordination with the registrar and data managerAdminister the BYOD and 1:1 program, oversee deployment and maintenance of staff and student computers;Support extracurricular activities and/or student clubs as neededManage inventory of all school-owned or leased equipment including desktops/laptops, iPads, SMART Boards, projectors, copiers, printers, etc.;Integrate technology software across various platforms for SSO and provisioningWork during the summer to upgrade software, hardware, update school systems and prep for new year, in coordination with Admissions Office and Division OfficesSupport school website and social media platformsSupport extracurricular activities, student clubs, after-hours school eventsRequirementsBachelor of Arts or Science degree in an applicable field or equivalent work experience.5+ years’ experience in the development, installation, and maintenance of school information systems and academic databases (Schoology, Sycamore, Google certifications a plus)Current and in-depth knowledge of network architecture; telecommunication; wireless, mobile, and cloud technologies;Experience working in the K-12 education environment.Strong leadership, collaborative, interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary to work effectively with a variety of constituents, including students, faculty, staff, and the Board of Directors.Willingness to be a hands-on team player with a creative approach to solutionsStrong organizational, technical, and analytical skills;Problem-solver with a high degree of diplomacy, strong communication skills;Detail-oriented; Able to prioritize multiple tasks;Trustworthy and sensitive to community confidentiality; Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and opportunitiesNoor-Ul-Iman school is a diverse learning community brought together by a mutual desire to practice and preserve core Islamic teachings within a world-class educational environment.Noor-Ul-Iman School (NUI) is a non-public, non-profit, tax-exempt educational organization recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education and accredited by the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
