UNIV-GYN Oncologist-Open Rank-Department of OBGYN

Job Description Summary

As an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist your clinical responsibilities will consist primarily of seeing Ob/gyn patients in an outpatient setting and providing admission, discharge, and rounding on inpatients on both the obstetrics (including labor and delivery) and gynecology (including the operating room) services. You will also be responsible for providing consultative services in the Emergency Department, including the management of Ob/gyn patients with other hospital services. You will provide the above services Monday through Friday and will be expected to take Ob/gyn call on weekends and nights when assigned or as needed by the Department. You may also be responsible for traveling to other parts of South Carolina to perform OBGYN/GYN services for service contracts for your division. While I believe this is a reasonable outline of your expected duties, this could change somewhat depending on operational needs of the division and your personal and academic goals. All clinical time is guaranteed but any unfunded time for faculty development or education will be based on available funding.
