We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join their growing cloud team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your knowledge and hands-on skills to build and manage a scalable, secure cloud environment.



The ideal candidate will have experience working in cloud infrastructure and automation, with a focus on Azure services. This hybrid role, based in the Research Triangle Park, NC area, requires onsite presence 1-2 days per week. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply industry best practices within a cloud-first environment. Key contributions include:

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
Automate cloud operations using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and PowerShell.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with developers to integrate applications with cloud services.
Monitor cloud performance and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational best practices.
Assist with escalations from downstream support teams and work with project managers to develop detailed project plans.
Stay up to date with emerging Azure features and trends in cloud technologies.



Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Experience working with cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
Solid understanding of Azure security best practices including identity management (IAM) and compliance.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, subnets).
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
