This role is part of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Cell’s Kit Planning Team as a Principal Manufacturing Analyst.Responsibilities include:Plan, organize, and control the timely flow of product through the SMT Manufacturing Cell to support internal and external customer delivery requirements.Collaborate daily with Operations, Production Control, Cell Management, Engineers, Material Control Specialists, Supply Chain, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate the conversion and release of orders to SMT Manufacturing.Analyze material inventory using SAP, drive resolution of shortages with Factory Supply Chain and the Baltimore Logistics Center.Review order routing information in SAP and work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Programs to address discrepancies.Manage assignment, documentation, and timely closure of action items.Present kit status updates to Program Management teams and SMT Cell Management Weekly.Utilize SAP, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint to track progress of planned order conversions and production kits in process.Maintain reports and metrics such as aging orders, overdue hours, confirmed not delivered orders, floor stock inventory control, and resolution of material shortages related to open production orders.Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑resolution, and process‑improvement skills.Communicate effectively with internal customers and work well in cross‑functional teams.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.Experience with SAP or another ERP system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.U.S. Citizen required.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience in one or more areas: inventory management, production control, MRP, operations, supply chain.Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package that encourages growth and supports the mutual success of our people and company.
