Mechanical Specialties Contractors is a leader in the fabrication and installation of high purity and process piping systems and specialty components (valve manifold boxes, gas sticks, gas cabinets, modular skids, vacuum pump spools, tool retrofits, purified gas supplies, and orbital welding), providing custom solutions and meeting the virtual zero-tolerance requirements of high-performance industries such as Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Semiconductor and Institutional customers.Service offerings include: hygienic process piping, gas distribution systems, clean steam systems, purified water systems, high purity piping, plumbing, exhaust systems, water treatment systems, service utilities, and equipment setting.As part of EMCOR Group, we provide the local leadership to solve mechanical engineering challenges for our clients, which is enhanced by the backing of a financially solid Fortune 500 company with a national presence.Mechanical Specialties Contractors is seeking Pipefitters that will fit, solder, and layout piping, primarily High Purity and Process piping of stainless-steel and carbon.This position will work on projects in and near the Raleigh/Durham area and candidates must live within a daily reasonable commuting distance.Key Duties:Lay out of pipe systems, supports or related equipment according to blueprints.Installation of industrial process piping Systems.Assemble or secure pipes (1/2" to 10" in size), fittings, accessories (valves, gauges, etc.), or related equipment according to project specifications by welding, brazing, soldering or threading joints.Inspect or test installed systems using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing or other methods.Cut or bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand or power tools.Load and unload tools and material.Setup of equipment at beginning of shift and breakdown at end of shift.Utilize blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedure.Compile lists of material and equipment needed for project.Maintain assigned tools and issued safety equipment.Maintain daily communication with your direct supervisor and department manager.
