Be part of something remarkable Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin We are seeking an Optometrist to: Join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences to provide quality care as an independent health care provider while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including general and specialty ophthalmologists. Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. Plan and create learning opportunities for technical staff and residents. Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention and treatment plans. This position will be 40% focused seeing Glaucoma patients. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited Optometry School Required Completion of a one-year residency in post-optometry school study Preferred Work Experience 3 years post graduate clinical experience OR completion of a residency program Required 7 years of relevant clinical experience Preferred Licenses & Certifications State of Wisconsin Optometry Licensure Upon Hire Required CPR certification Upon Hire Required Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
