We exclusively serve commercial sectors including hospitality, senior housing, healthcare, commercial offices, municipalities, multifamily living, and institutional markets.Job Title: Construction SuperintendentDepartment: Recon & CapExReports To: General SuperintendentFLSA Status: ExemptSummaryAs a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the project\'s delivery is on schedule and in line with budgeted performance metrics. This role also works alongside team members and manages daily on-site project activities.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMobilize to the site at receipt of assignment and perform “Site Establishment,” which includes: Scope and Schedule review with the local-level client; confirmation of client-approved working hours; placement of dumpsters and storage containers; superintendent and subcontractor staff parking; crew entrance and exit to the work site; establish a daily “Check In/Check Out” process with local management.Coordinate work of all subcontractors in the field; direct and oversee daily operations to achieve successful completion of the project.Manage daily activities to obtain a high-quality finish prior to the predetermined schedule; enforce crew dress code (BBMK/BlueTeam uniform t-shirts).Accurately record daily crew members and activities; prepare and submit all project-related paperwork on time (Daily Crew Activity Sheets and Project Field Reports submitted daily by 9 am for the previous day\'s activities; Weekly Status Reports submitted to PM by 12:00 pm EST every Thursday; Incident Reports submitted within 1 hour of occurrence; Personal Expense Report and Weekly Tracker submitted by 9:00 am EST Monday).Ensure job site safety and quality of work (no rework/call back); conduct and record Weekly Toolbox Safety meetings every Monday and ensure attendance and sign-in sheets are returned by 12 pm the day of the meeting.Perform regular quality checks of ongoing production, give corrective direction to subcontractors to eliminate punch work, and perform regular pre-punch walks with subcontractors.Minimize customer business interference; serve as the site leader on the job site full-time.Cross-train with the Remediation/Restoration division to manage a remediation project; knowledge of interior building methods.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsComputer skills including internet, e-mail, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.Experience working for a general contractor.Extensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, plus applicable local, state, and federal building codes and legislation.Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools; proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multi-task; proactive and deadline-oriented.Ability to read and interpret documents in English (work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals).Certifications a plus.Education and/or ExperienceAn associate or bachelor’s degree from a college or university or three (3) years of experience in commercial or residential construction trades, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates and LicensesNoneLanguage SkillsAbility to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations with limited standardization.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions.
