This is an in-person position.

$1,000 sign-on bonus available

We are looking for an Operations & Compliance Manager who will be responsible for a variety of general administration and compliance activities in the day-to-day operations of the Housing Department.

Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:

Administrative Duties:

  • Provide overall office management for the Housing Office.

  • Offer complex administrative support to the Assistant Director.

  • Oversee communications, especially monthly tenant newsletters.

  • Assist in reviewing and qualifying applications for rental apartments, showing available apartments, contacting references, and signing new tenants.

  • Assist in reviewing and qualifying applications for sales units and organizing lotteries for these units.

Compliance Duties:

  • Identify, investigate, and report housing compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.

  • Consult with the legal department and advise management on compliance matters.

  • Maintain meticulous records of complaints and compliance activities, including tracking and responding to all complaints.

  • Maintain the record system for all sale and rental units, including applications, rents, sales, and resale values.

  • Develop and provide training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems for the housing program.

  • Handle all Special Review requests for variances from Housing Office Guidelines, including reviewing requests, gathering information, scheduling meetings with the Director & Assistant Director, and communicating decisions to owners or tenants.

  • Prepare and file compliance reports.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively, efficiently, and independently manage numerous projects and responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal stakeholders and the public.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, & Office 365) with experience in Laserfiche being a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant professional experience with progressive responsibilities in administrative or compliance fields; or any combination of equivalent experience and education likely to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities determined by the Town of Snowmass Village.
  • Knowledge of the Town's housing program and regulations preferred.
  • Previous experience with governmental programs preferred.
