Job Description – Electrical Technician

For this opportunity, we are looking for someone that is an entrepreneur. Sales and Customer Experience are as important as your expertise in the electrical field. The right person will train under a Licensed Electrician and be fitted with the right tools for the job. We expect to start this role on an hourly basis, with an opportunity to grow into a bonus structure as the Company grows.

 

Objectives of this Role

 

  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
  • Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering
  • wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of
  • components.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect need for
  • adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Associate's degree or training in vocational school
  • 2 or more years of related experience
  • Strong communicator
  • Experience in residential electrical repair
  • Clean driving record
