OverviewCentra is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to serve as Medical Director of Neurology. This leadership role will oversee both inpatient and outpatient neurology services, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care.Role DetailsNeurology Medical Director | LynchburgResponsibilitiesLead neurology’s integration across neurology specialties (epilepsy monitoring, neurodiagnostics, stroke and neurovascular services, pain management, complex spine care) in collaboration with neurosurgery, neuroendovascular, pain management, and rehabilitation to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient care.Oversee inpatient and outpatient neurology services; manage service line quality of care; focus on patient outcomes, financial performance, workforce development, and strategic planning.Collaborate with CMG Neurosciences Division and broader Centra Health teams; participate in growth, innovation, and culture change within neurology.Balance approximately 80% clinical and 20% administrative duties.QualificationsMD or DO with certification by an ABMS board in the physician's primary specialty; board certified or in the process of certifying.Board-certified Neurologist or equivalent required.About Centra CMG and LocationCentra Medical Group covers approximately 600,000 community members with 70 outpatient and specialty practices in Central and Southern Virginia, including Lynchburg.
