Locums Trauma Surgery Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Trauma Surgery Physician to provide weekend call coverage at our Level II trauma center in Midland, MI. As the Locums Trauma Surgery Physician, you will be responsible for covering trauma and general surgery call coverage over the weekend, from Friday evening through Sunday. You will also round on all admitted patients for Trauma Services and Acute Care Surgery Services, typically from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The patient census can vary, ranging from 15 to 20 patients. Additionally, you will be required to respond to all Code 1 trauma activations within 15 minutes, ensuring timely and effective care for our patients.
Requirements:
· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
· ACLS Certification
· Experience with EPIC and Dragon documentation systems is essential.
· A current Michigan medical license is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license.
