Veterinary Client Service Representative Base pay range $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr Long Beach Animal Emergency is seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team We need an ambitious, empathetic, and outgoing Client Service Representative to join our fast‑paced Long Beach hospital. Join a team that has been a staple in the community and focuses on staff support, innovation in medical care and management. The Client Service Representative is the face of LBAE and is responsible for the first and last interactions with our clients. Responsibilities include preparing paperwork for patient arrival, caring for the client/patient during check‑in, maintaining patient records, guiding clients through the discharge/check‑out process, handling financial transactions, and maintaining lobby space and exam rooms. Job Requirements Minimum two years of experience in a customer service role Experience in a medical setting preferred, veterinary is ideal Ability to multi‑task and think quickly High level of customer service in stressful situations Fluency in English, clear and audible speaking, reading, and writing Comfortable with business‑related computer software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Schedule flexibility required due to the 24‑hour, 365‑day operation of the hospital Understanding of incoming caller needs and appropriate routing Medical (human or animal) call routing experience is a plus Physical Requirements May need to stand and walk around the hospital for extended periods Must be able to sit for extended periods Must be able to lift objects up to 10–15 lbs Excellent hearing and listening skills required Continuous typing required Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach to troubleshoot computer, phone, and multifunction device problems Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid parental leave, and amazing pet benefits.
