What We're Looking For:Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Project Architect to support project design, documentation, and related tasks. The role involves working on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or on parts of larger projects.Responsibilities:Assist in project scope, budget development, and design.Support Project Managers by providing technical leadership on conventional projects.Interpret and develop complex plans.Coordinate construction documents across structural, mechanical, civil, and electrical disciplines.Consult with local and federal authorities regarding regulations and building codes.Prepare and review specifications, documents, and drawings.Design, investigate, and recommend building systems and materials.Participate in client meetings as appropriate.Conduct on-site visits to monitor project progress.Perform other duties as needed.Supervision:Lead Intern Architects and Designers in preparing project plans.Serve as technical lead on conventional projects.Expectations:Ensure timely and high-quality work from the technical team within budget.Achieve utilization rate goals.This role may include individual sales targets for specific clients or disciplines.Develop and execute a plan to meet sales goals.Align with our Purpose, Vision, and Values.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.4-8 years of architectural experience with Architect registration.Healthcare experience is required.Skills:Apply practical knowledge to resolve issues.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other relevant software.Stay informed about new methods and developments.Physical Requirements:Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb up to 25-30 feet.Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.Sufficient visual acuity for reading and design work.Respond effectively to project issues.Why Join Us?Barge Design Solutions is an employee-owned engineering and architecture firm with over 550 staff, serving clients nationwide.
