Plus, you'll enjoy world-class benefits and the security, stability, and resources of our parent company, Hearst, with over 100 years of experience.As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, optimization and support of enterprise infrastructure and application deployment pipelines. This role ensures systems meet high standards of reliability, security, and scalability through automation, observability, and incident response leadership. The Senior SRE mentors junior engineers, drives architectural improvements, and collaborates across departments to evolve infrastructure maturity and operational excellence.You will:Architect and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure across hybrid environmentsLead the development of CI/CD automation, testing, and deployment systemsManage observability stack (e.g., logging, metrics, distributed tracing) for system health and diagnosticsLead incident response processes, postmortems, and continuous improvement effortsPartner with Security, DevOps, and Application Engineering to enforce compliance and best practicesGuide infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and capacity planningDrive infrastructure documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring initiativesSupport disaster recovery planning and testing activitiesParticipate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support for complex issuesWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or DevOps rolesExpert-level scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Strong experience with cloud platforms, containers, and infrastructure-as-codeKnowledge of systems security and governance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2)Experience managing distributed systems and high-availability environmentsStrong communication skills and experience mentoring technical teamsBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferredCertifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure technologies highly desirableProven ability to design and implement scalable, highly available systems in production environmentsExperience leading incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventative measuresDemonstrated ownership of system health, including proactive identification of performance bottlenecks and reliability risksStrong cross-functional communication skills; able to influence and collaborate with software engineering, security, compliance, and product teamsComfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex infrastructure or architectural decisionsTrack record of mentoring and guiding junior engineers and contributing to team technical growthFamiliarity with cost optimization strategies in cloud-native environmentsExperience working in or supporting regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance) with attention to security and complianceStrong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset; creates and maintains infrastructure standards and operational runbooksPay Range: $120,825 - $169,155Other compensation: Bonus EligiblePerks & Benefits: Hybrid work????
