You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards; own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Also has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.Roles and ResponsibilitiesEnsure suppliers meet Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development guidelines, including supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small, low‑risk projects, explaining information and developing skills to bring team members to consensus, conveying performance expectations, and handling sensitive issues.Operate with some autonomy while following functional practices, precedents, and well‑defined policies for Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.Lead supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assist assigned suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.Track metrics and develop quality improvement plans to address problem areas.Review and approve quality plans, investigate quality escapes to provide root‑cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions are taken.Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools and requirements.Ensure compliance and drive improvement plans where needed.Review documentation and witness supplier practices to determine if sound manufacturing and inspection principles are in place.Utilize in‑depth knowledge of quality and/or castings to execute policy, with basic knowledge of related job disciplines.Use judgment and propose solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated day‑to‑day problems.Prioritize information for data analysis, using technical experience and analytical thinking, and drawing on internal and limited external sources outside of the team to arrive at decisions.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing site).Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing site.Desired CharacteristicsExperience with either investment casting process or product engineering.Knowledgeable about New Product Start‑Up and APQP.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills.Background in supplier quality and supplier management.Experience in airfoils or structural castings.Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Humble characteristics: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision‑maker, collaborative.Problem solver: analytical‑minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.Travel Requirement: 25-40% of time.Base Pay Range: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00. Specific pay may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary / commission based on the plan.This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
