Acctounting Assistant

An international Automotive Parts Manufacturer is looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join their office in the Findlay, OH area. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ work experience in general accounting and payroll entry, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and have a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) matching.



Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

Accounts payable/receivable functions
Payroll entry and other data entry
Aid in the organization and planning of accounting projects
Review and check for accuracy in preliminary test materials while adhering to industry standards
Aid in auditing process, from initial preparations through to audit, archival
Creation of accounting reports for upper management
Assist controller with preparation of financial reports and month-end closing
Other duties as assigned

Accounting Assistant Requirements:

High School diploma or GED is required
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in accounting (including internships, co-ops, etc.), preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications and accounting software
Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, knee, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
