Additional Job Description West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a full‑time Hospitalist Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Grant County, WV. Duties Practice in the areas of Internal Medicine. Provide excellent patient care. Actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. State medical license and DEA registration required by start date. Completed Internal Medicine residency program. Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine. The Eastern Panhandle location is little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with easy accessibility to Washington DC/Baltimore make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, with little congestion and traffic. In recent years a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore has contributed to growth of local telecommuting and high‑tech industries.
