Experience with Engineering Tools and Infrastructure. Preferred qualifications Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. Experience with Google Distributed Cloud/Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, or Google Kubernetes Engine. Experience in infrastructure with broad knowledge across compute, storage and networking. Expertise on the networking and lower level of software stack (Kernel). As a member of the GDC‑AG Virtual Environments team, you will contribute to delivery of the google private cloud product, by ensuring GDC‑AG development and release workflows have healthy environments that mimic production closely through automation and tooling. The Virtual Environments team mission is to provide reliable GDC‑AG virtual lab environments to engineers/customers for development, testing, and demonstration. The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000–$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Be able to code and debug, and develop tools for working within various environments. This includes OC rollout/rollback, test execution, resource utilization, result reporting, and health monitoring. Partner with engineering teams to ensure the quality of operable components are rolled out to the environments. Drive the product feature deliverables, customer issue resolution, and virtual environments additional features to match the physical setups.
