*Prep Cook **Position Requirements;*

- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred, adequate knowledge of food safety and sanitation, flexible schedule, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A highly motivated and energetic personality.
- Has ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Morimoto Brand standards.

*Job Descriptions:*

- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, as well as work under pressure and meet deadlines and ability to communicate effectively, give clear direction and follow precise orders.
- Must possess the physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, vendors, and employees while working under pressure and must be able to work independently, as well as work periodically alongside a co-worker
- Must be self-motivated, possess effective leadership ability and management style, be a quick thinker/problem solver, work with FOH and BOH team members to improve guest experience.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a foot stool.
- Ability to [sit; stand; walk; climb; crawl; kneeling, crouching; balance etc..] for extended periods.

*Knowledge/familiarity with Japanese cuisine is a plus.*

*Strong preference for candidates with experience.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Shift:
* 10 hour shift
* 12 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
Weekly day range:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
