We selectively travel for key clients and pride ourselves on building meaningful and rewarding projects and high performing, cohesive teams that are grounded in operational excellence.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTThe Vice President will play a critical role in supporting the Division's Wood Frame, Multi-Family Senior Leadership. This person will work side-by-side with other Vice Presidents and report directly to the Senior Vice President. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth while managing our culture, client relationships, developing talent, and ensuring financial performance.This is a high-trust, high-autonomy leadership role with clear expectations: actively secure new project opportunities through strategic relationship-building and business development; exercise sound judgment and personal accountability in resolving challenges; attract, mentor, and elevate high-performing teams; fiercely protect and nurture our culture of trust, care, and operational excellence; and consistently lead with integrity, professionalism, and respect.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTDevelop and grow meaningful relationships with key clients and developers.Partner with Business Development on identifying opportunities and closing work.Collaborate with Preconstruction to ensure accurate, timely, and strategic estimates.Manage the process of negotiations and execution of Owner contracts in coordination with the project leadership team, Sr. Vice President and in-house legal counsel.Maintain long-term client engagement beyond project closeout.PEOPLE LEADERSHIPIdentify, hire, and mentor top-tier project management talent.Lead project teams with executive oversight and coaching.Conduct regular 1:1s, project check-ins, and high-level staffing/resource planning.Participate in Division-wide career pathing, development planning, and culture-building initiatives.Foster a team-first culture grounded in accountability, care, and performance.FINANCIALS / RISK MANAGEMENTManage divisional financial health: revenue forecasting, gross profit tracking, bench projections and overhead strategy.Interpret financial data and use analytics to drive decision-making and improve margins.Own and resolve issues-on projects, with clients, and across the Division.Engage with Enterprise risk teams on CCIP, OCIP insurance, claims, warranty, bonds and other risk-related matters.Champion operational excellence and innovation across the Division and all projects.DIVISIONAL & ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIPBe an active, curious, visible leader across the Division, the Enterprise and the DFW Business as a whole.Provide peer-to-peer VP-level problem-solving and strategic input, unafraid to drop down when necessary.Develop, Contribute and Support Divisional and Enterprise-wide rollouts, initiatives, and best practices.Uphold and promote company values in every interaction.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.15+ years of relevant experience with a general contractor, preferred wood-frame multifamily.Proven track record of leading project teams and client relationships from pursuit to closeout.Advanced financial and business acumen.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Familiarity with Dallas-Fort Worth market strongly preferred.JOB TITLE: Vice PresidentJOB LOCATION: McKinney, TXCLASSIFICATION: Full-Time - Exempt - SalariedREPORTS TO: Division Senior Vice PresidentTo be the most trusted name in North Texas wood frame multi-family construction.We deliver unparalleled value while performing to the highest standards in safety and quality, cultivating top-performing teams, and fostering productive client relationships through honesty, unwavering commitment, and results.Moss is an equal opportunity employer.
