If you want to be part of shaping the future of mobility, then read onWe are looking for an experienced, hands‑on Buyer, ideally from aerospace or automotive, to join our team developing electric‑powered aircraft. This position will be a primary point of contact for suppliers and a liaison between suppliers and Wisk employees for procurement of custom, commercial off‑the‑shelf parts, raw materials and indirect supplies.What You Will DoAct as a Buyer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.Be a primary point of contact for suppliers, creating requests for quotes, purchase requests, and purchase orders.Support multiple internal stakeholders such as engineering, software, IT, EH&S, facilities, finance, program management, flight test teams to ensure successful integration and support of procurement efforts, expediting and supplier management initiatives.Monitor supplier technical, quality, delivery and financial performance.Identify cost savings opportunities and work with suppliers to reduce material costs.Resolve component shortages that arise quickly, preventing impact to the line.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.At least five (5) years working experience in supply chain procurement.Excellent analytical and judgment skills. Strategic sourcing, opportunity analysis, and highly effective communication skills is a must.Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal at all levels of the organization, between engineering, production, and suppliers.Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross‑functional teams.Requires ~5‑10% of travel.Compensation And BenefitsIn addition to offering a great work environment and the opportunity to be part of the team making electric autonomous flight a reality, at Wisk we offer excellent total rewards which include a competitive base salary, annual bonus, long‑term incentive, 401K, health benefits and much more.
