Pediatric Anesthesiologist - Dayton, Ohio Dayton Children’s Hospital is an independent, freestanding children’s hospital in Dayton, Ohio, who is recruiting an ABA certified/ABA candidate pediatric anesthesiologist. The group consists of a combination of anesthesiologists (MD/DO) and CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Over 12,000 anesthetics are performed annually at this Level 1 pediatric trauma center. These include neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, ENT, dental, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, and medical imaging procedures. There are no cardiac or transplant surgeries performed. Responsibilities include performing your own cases as well as supervision of CRNAs, anesthesia residents and SRNAs. The group also provides anesthesia coverage for Shriners Children’s Ohio, which is a burn and craniofacial center. We offer a highly competitive salary, with 24/7 in-house call shared equally among the group. Dayton Children’s Specialty Physicians will employ the successful candidate. The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine department of pediatrics and its residency program are based at Dayton Children’s. All our physicians hold faculty appointments at the Boonshoft School of Medicine and teach medical students and residents. Dayton metro is the fourth largest in Ohio and is noted for its association with aviation most notably due to the Wright brothers’ invention of flight. The city is home to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, some of the best private and public schools in the state, a vibrant arts and entertainment community and a beautiful system of parks, trails, and river corridors.
