Kitchen Steward

POSITION OVERVIEW

To maintain and provide clean and sanitary dishes for both staff and guests. Assist with staff meals and cleanliness of other areas as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Properly maintain and run the dish machine.
• Proper use of all chemicals and where and how to use them.
• Maintain the proper cleanliness of the kitchen, coolers, freezer, cafeteria storerooms and all walls and floors.
• Ensure that all food, chemicals are stored properly when orders arrive.
• Make sure the line, pastry, and restaurant have the service ware needed for the day (i.e. proper flatware serving utensils, plates and cups).
• Always be busy.
• Sweep and mop floors when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Oral proficiency in the English language.
• Must have open availability and be able to work weekends.
• Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.
• Sensitive to cultural nuances.
• Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
