Millwright Helper needed the for the Fall 2024 Outage at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant Start Date: 10-9-24 End Date: 11-8-24 Location: 6322 FM 56, Glen Rose, TX 76043Summary: The person will assist with the installation, assembly, dismantling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery. Must be able to meet all physical demands Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power toolsEssential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Millwright in daily duties Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures Participate in action planning process Track, retrieve and record all parts and repairs using work orders & maintenance management systems as required All other duties assigned by supervisor Keep work and surrounding area safe, clean and free of debris Under supervision, inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs Under supervision, reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work Under supervision, start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems Under supervision, install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications Clean workstation and surrounding areas making sure it is clean and free of debris Skills and Qualifications High school diploma/GED Must be able to pass nuclear background check/drug screen. Understand and follow oral or written instructions issued by supervisors Ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly Ability to work well as part of a team Possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Employment opportunities may require access to information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
