The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of well-rounded accounting experience in the Professional Services industry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Our corporate accounting team works closely with our clients to provide flexible and scalable accounting support and business consulting to launch businesses to the next phase of growth.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging projects including weekly, monthly, and year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations.Maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedulesDesigning, implementing, and/or converting systems for clients.Calculating and reporting indirect taxesHelping clients prepare cash flow and our financial projectionsAssisting clients with payroll processing and 1099 preparationAdvising clients on both tactical and strategic financial decisionsTroubleshooting client issues as they ariseRequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA considered a plusMinimum 5 years’ progressive accounting, and two years supervisory experience requiredProficient with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and ExcelHands-on experience with the month-end accounting and close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and drafting management reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and other analytical reports)Some accounting experience within real estate, manufacturing, distribution, or construction a mustAbility to travel to client locations within the Atlanta area as neededExperience with payroll processing and related tax compliance is a plusExperience preparing Sales & Use Tax returns is a plusFamiliarity with financial statement compilations is desiredPrior experience serving clients in a professional services environment is a plusExperience using the following software is a plus: Quickbooks Online, Sage 50 (Peachtree), Sage 100 (Master Builder), Sage 300 (Timberline), Sys pro, SAP Business One, fixed asset software, ProSystems Fx Engagement.Consultative approach and client service orientedExceptional, detailed and proactive communicator (verbal & written)Self-Directed, Autonomous, AmbitiousBenefits5 weeks paid vacation, wellness days, and floating holidaysHybrid scheduleHome office equipment providedBusiness Casual dress codeFitness membership discountsContinuing education opportunitiesCompetitive salary and bonus program401k with matchComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageTuition and certification reimbursementCell phone reimbursementVolunteer daysCoaching and mentoring programsSocial eventsMoore Colson is annually ranked among Atlanta’s Top 15 Accounting Firms by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
