Working 12 shifts per month allows you to enjoy what the area has to offer as well as travel.If you are interested in learning more about PARC or this position, please contact Karin Fary via the apply button.Visit www.parcvets.com for more information on our facility, employment opportunities, and the PVAKey ResponsibilitiesTo work collaboratively with other emergency clinicians, Medical Director, and the Director of Operations to lead the practice and foster teamwork within the clinic.To provide leadership/coaching/mentoring for Student and Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants where appropriate.To conduct medical rounds with associates to ensure the transfer of a high quality standard of care.Primary DutiesTo effectively use the clinic’s veterinary practice management software.To effectively utilize and direct staff to use in-house laboratory equipment.To safely operate the clinic’s medical, surgical, diagnostic and digital radiograph equipment within regulatory parameters.To oversee support staff in the proper use of equipment unique to the practice of emergency medicine.To exercise good time management skills to maximize personal efficiency at all times. Prioritize tasks in the best interests of the client, animals and clinic. Handle multiple tasks in a calm organized manner.To communicate effectively with clients, vendors and employees.To perform all veterinary procedures in a competent, professional manner, consistent with the standards of high quality patient care and excellent client service established by the Clinic.To work with other clinic personnel to ensure that patients and clients are served expeditiously at all times.To communicate with clients, both in person and by telephone, in a warm, friendly, compassionate and professional manner regarding the medical status of their pets; to fully inform the client of treatment options and/or necessary care for his/her pet.To provide clients with accurate information regarding procedures and fees; to accurately prepare estimates and charges in accordance with established procedures, including applicable charges for technical support personnel.To assist the Medical Director and/or Director of Operations, as necessary, to develop internal operating procedures to optimize the effectiveness and profitability of the clinic, consistent with high quality standards of care and excellent client service, including:Medical examination and treatment.Client education and communication.Animal care during hospitalization.To ensure maintenance of accurate and complete patient medical records, including records required by law or established practice procedure, such as the surgical log and the controlled drug log.To actively participate in regular staff meetings, ensuring open communication regarding planning, procedures, corrective action, client service, marketing and in-service training.To participate in decisions regarding medical supplies and equipment orders in tandem with the Medical Director. #J-18808-Ljbffr
