Schedule:
  • Onsite at Fairfield, CA
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am -3:30pm
  • Overtime available and/or mandatory on a business need basis
What You Will Do
  • Set up and run conventional machines to produce parts with exacting requirements.
  • Select and setup cutting tools, as needed gage tool lengths.
  • Detect machining abnormalities and/or malfunctions based on tooling wear and damage.
  • Review machining programs and data package for completeness as required.
  • Perform quality inspection of parts using standard measuring instruments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Support Continuous Improvement efforts and maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Work autonomously and trouble shoot machining issues.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, job specifications, job orders, planning documents, and equipment manuals.
  • Safe Operation of manual mill and manual lathe with minimal assistance
  • Others duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • HS Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Manual machine shop experience.
  • Proficiency with manual machining best practices
  • Experience working in a low volume, high value part environment.
  • Material handling experience- cranes, rigging, and lifts.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments, i.e., micrometers, calipers, 6" scales, etc.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and documents
Working Environment
  • Workers may occasional must climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete surfaces.
  • Will frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 9 kilograms (20 pounds). with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers, if required
  • Occasionally, may lift and carry items that weigh up to 16 kilograms (35pounds) with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers, if required.

The salary range for this role is $25.44 to $34.56; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
