Job Description: Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our client in Vancouver, WA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and repairing Hyster and Toyota forklifts, wheel end loaders, and cranes. This position requires someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain accurate records. This is a 2-4 month long project that could turn in permanent long-term work.

Type: Full-Time - Overtime - Project Work - Potential for Long-Term

Pay: $27 - $32+ per hour DOE

Shift: Swing

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair Hyster and Toyota forklifts, wheel end loaders, and cranes.


Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols.


Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical systems.


Perform tire, brake, and drive train component replacements.


Maintain detailed written logs and records of maintenance activities.


Conduct preventive maintenance on all company equipment.


Perform building and facility maintenance repairs as needed.



Heavy Equipment Mechanic Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.


Must provide own tools (any specialty tools will be provided).


Basic experience with welding and fabricating.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Preferred:

Experience troubleshooting and repairing balers, tie wire strappers, and air conditioning systems.


Helpful: Experience operating forklifts, cranes, wheel loaders, and skid steers.
