This position focuses on supervising front-end and pharmacy operations, driving customer experience and store performance, and managing team members. Customer Experience Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. Monitor customer service metrics and coach the team to exceed expectations. Operations Supervise store operation, including assigning daily activities, delegating tasks, opening/closing shifts and managing schedule conflicts. Support the Store Manager with data analysis, fact-based decisions, and operational feedback. Control cash management, inventory resets, and inventory trend analysis, training the team on SOPs. Maintain store interior/exterior cleanliness, repair and maintenance, and emergency response. Ensure team knowledge of systems, software and safety policies, and compliance with applicable laws. Full Store Operation Business Performance Management Analyze financial and performance data, create action plans to support business deliverables. Use operating statements and KPIs to drive store improvement initiatives. Support pharmacy during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician when necessary. People & Performance Management Lead and train team members, providing coaching, feedback and performance management. Manage hiring, talent pipeline and diversity pipeline for future leaders. Establish accountability through performance improvement plans and constructive discipline. Training & Personal Development Complete the Store Manager learning and development program and required courses. Monitor own performance, seek continuous feedback and maintain a personal development plan. Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy technician license as required by state. Communications Communicate regularly with team members through one-on-one discussions and group meetings. Assist Store Manager in planning and communicating company and store strategy. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record or High School Diploma/GED and two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong communication skills and business acumen. Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and extended days. Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, including possible relocation. Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Internal candidates: management experience covering front-end and pharmacy. External candidates: business majors with prior retail or food industry experience. The actual salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
