The tenure track professor will teach various courses in our faculty, both at bachelor's and master's level. In addition, the tenure track professor will independently conduct scientific research. You will lecture several Dutch-taught course units in the domain of Public and Non-Profit Sector Accounting and Auditing. In the Public Administration and Public Management (BPM) program, we aim for our students to acquire sufficient competencies to understand accounting systems — governed by accounting law, but also with attention to the conceptual accounting framework (both general and budgetary accounting, depending on stakeholders’ needs). At a more advanced level, this includes responsibility for the course “Accounting and Auditing in the Public and Social Profit Sector” in the BPM master’s program. The latter course provides opportunities for comparison with European ESR standards, U.S. fund accounting, and transition issues related to international standards. The teaching assignment also includes the course “Non-profit Accounting”, taught in the Management and Policy in Health Care program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, which is closely aligned with the context of healthcare organizations and the broader non-profit sector.
