Role Overview

As part of the quantitative trading team, you will play a pivotal role in providing real-time support for automated trading strategies across multiple asset classes, including Futures, FX, Equities, and Options. This position requires a sharp problem-solving mindset and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues in a fast-paced market environment. In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to broaden your role into research and trade analysis, making a solid foundation in Python programming a valuable asset for success in this career path.

You will gain exposure to an expansive suite of global trading infrastructure technologies, covering market and broker connectivity, proprietary and third-party trading applications, as well as advanced research systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Real-Time Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor live trading activities and swiftly respond to production trading issues across a wide range of products and markets.
  • Operational Risk Management: Collaborate closely with technical teams to address operational risks, diagnose system-related issues, and ensure seamless trading operations.
  • Strategy Oversight & Execution: Intervene in trading strategies and execute trades when necessary, ensuring smooth operation under all conditions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to reports, workflows, and tools to enhance performance and automation.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work alongside global trading teams to identify and implement solutions that improve automation and system resilience.
  • Market & Strategy Research: Analyze market conditions, investigate emerging market dynamics, and propose new signal generation ideas to refine trading strategies.
  • Execution Research & Strategy Enhancement: Contribute to research on execution quality and strategy improvements, ensuring continuous refinement and development.
  • Broker & Service Provider Relations: Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with US-based brokers and service providers to support trading operations.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in a trading operations or execution role within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or similar financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to diagnose complex issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Python programming is highly advantageous for career progression towards research and trade analysis.
  • Familiarity with trading in Futures, FX, Equities, and Options markets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with brokers and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of trading infrastructure, including market connectivity and trading applications, is a plus.
