This is a *24 bed progressive care unit*. We have *Neuro/Trauma and Post-Surgical patients -*- some of which come from PACU and others sent from the ICU after being stabilized. We take specialized patients, which includes but is not limited to; *Lumbar drains, EVDs, EMU-seizure monitoring, Depth Electrode-seizure monitoring, ENT post-surgical patients with flaps and new trachs, post-stroke, and new paralysis*. We do not require anyone to be trained on these specialized areas, but we do encourage and offer training to those who will work with us. NIHSS is not a requirement, but it does help. We also train our team members for charge role responsibilities.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

* Requires an *Associate's of Nursing* (ASN); *Bachelor of Nursing* (BSN) *preferred*.
* Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
* Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
* Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
* Generalized *Progressive Care experience*.
* Generalized *Medical Surgical care experience*.
