Assistant Store Manager Job Type: Full Time, Exempt (Bonus Eligible) Location: 814 E Main St, Stamford, CT 06902 Availability: Open weekday shift, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. Who You Are As an Assistant Store Manager, you will help the Store Manager develop, lead, and motivate a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports brand loyalty and financial targets. You will also act as the Manager on Duty when assigned and represent Curaleaf as a brand ambassador by providing top‑notch customer service and educating guests on our products. What You’ll Do Communicate proactively with Store Manager, District Manager, and cross‑functional partners to maximize revenue opportunities. Model the way and lead selling behaviors aligned with Curaleaf brand culture to build loyal relationships and achieve key financial targets. Monitor and analyze the customer service delivered by team members, offering feedback and coaching. Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful guest experience. Supervise store operations and team members, including opening/closing, shift scheduling, task delegation, and staffing. Control store money, including register counts, withdrawals, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders, and bookkeeping. Analyze inventory trends, supervise inventory management, order items, keep stock, and avoid stock outs and overstock. Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, LeafLogix). Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed. Travel to other locations for training and/or coverage (10–25% travel). Perform additional duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Minimum 1 year of retail and/or high‑paced customer service experience. Minimum 1 year of high‑volume retail management experience. Strong business acumen and ability to measure success through financial targets and KPIs. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in a heavily regulated industry. Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams. Strong salesmanship skills and experience driving revenue. Strong experience and attention to detail in cash handling and POS operations. Demonstrated desire for continued learning and effective knowledge sharing. Ability to work independently and take initiative to run the business in the absence of the Store Manager. Even Better If Previous experience in the cannabis industry. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers to feel, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. Occasionally climb, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs. Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less. Operate standard office equipment and handle allergens such as dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
