The Press Break Operator will fabricate various types of flashings for Vergola adjustable louvered patio in house using CNC Break Pan Folder. Supervisory Responsibilities: ·

Reads workshop drawings and select the correct materials then manufacture the required item using an array of workshop equipment such as a CNC folder, guillotine, slitter, pan brake as well as general trade hand

tools snips, hammers, tape-measure , scribers, squares, etc ·

develops additional sketches if needed. ·

selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvalume, Colorbond or, aluminium and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications ·

marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments. ·

shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers. ·

Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs. ·

Checking work for accuracy using calipers and micrometers ·

Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal fabrication ·

Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs. ·

Maintains clean and orderly work space. ·

Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: ·

Ability to complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision. ·

Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work. ·

Ability to follow directions. ·

Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment. Education and Experience: ·

High school diploma or equivalent required. ·

Successful completion of an apprenticeship or a three-year, in-company training program required. ·

Certification preferred. ·

Experience in the operation of CNC sheetmetal folding equipment will be highly regarded ·

Experience working in a general sheetmetal fabrication shop either structural or automotive ·

Forklift certification

Physical Requirements: ·

Prolonged periods lifting, reaching, and working on scaffolding and overhead structures. ·

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
