Nutanix Engineer

Job Overview Join to apply for the Nutanix Engineer (Hybrid) role at TSP Newark, New Jersey We seek a Nutanix resident to join our professional services team. In this role, you will report to the manager of services. The work setup for this position is hybrid, with two days a week spent onsite, allowing for flexibility and a better work‑life balance. Additionally, the role may involve travel up to 40%, providing opportunities to meet with clients and engage with team members across various locations. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix AHV and Prism‑based infrastructure Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of Nutanix Core, AOS, and Prism Central Support and maintain databases (SQL Server) running on Nutanix clusters Monitor system performance, capacity, and scalability across Nutanix and database environments Implement and manage data protection, replication, and disaster recovery strategies Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability Troubleshoot hardware, virtualization, and database‑related issues within the Nutanix platform Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations and procedures Ensure systems meet security compliance and backup standards Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in virtualization, hybrid cloud, and database architecture Extensive experience engaging with external customers in technical or consulting roles Proven expertise in cloud design and deployment, including VMs, storage, networking, and databases Significant hands‑on experience performing database migrations using native tools across multiple platforms Deep experience with Microsoft SQL Server Familiarity with Nutanix Database Service (NDB) is a plus VCP certification or equivalent experience preferred Strong understanding of Azure and AWS networking, security concepts, and best practices Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to whiteboard solutions and produce detailed technical documentation Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Additional Information About This Role Pay grade: 31 View our benefits and pay grade information here: https://marketing.mytsp.net/tsp-benefits Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States TSP is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
